What it installs
- Claude Code as the native binary Anthropic publishes, downloaded for this architecture and refused unless its checksum matches the one the release manifest announces.
- The machine context in ~/.claude/CLAUDE.md: this is a Linux server and not a workstation, where the projects live, and that servers are driven with the dev command rather than started by hand.
- The Pupitre skills — server-dev, capture, branch, pr, ship — in ~/.agents/skills and in the tool’s own folder, plus the git-shipper subagent.
What it asks you for
Nothing. It installs as it is.
Good to know
Your own subscription. Pupitre resells nothing and stores no token for you: the tool prints its sign-in URL on first run, you approve it in your browser, and the credentials stay on the server. Uninstalling takes back the binary and the context this module wrote; the conversations, the credentials and the skills you added yourself stay. You can also skip Pupitre’s terminal entirely and attach the Claude desktop app to the server over SSH, with the key the app generated.
