What it installs

  • Wrangler, Cloudflare’s CLI, installed by mise on the server’s Node, so it lands on the path of the dev shell and upgrades like a runtime.
  • The token you gave and the account it opens, in the server’s environment file and in the dev shell, as the two variables Wrangler reads on its own — no wrangler login on the server.
  • Nothing else: your Workers, your D1 databases and your Pages projects stay yours to create and deploy.

What it asks you for

  • A second token of your Cloudflare account, connected once in the app’s settings under Wrangler. This one goes to the server, so it carries only what the server deploys — Workers Scripts, D1, Pages — and nothing over your tunnels or your domain, which stay with the token that never leaves your computer.

Good to know

The service page says whose account the token opens, in Wrangler’s own words. A token that opens several accounts deploys to the one of your connection. Uninstalling takes back the CLI and the two variables, and never touches your Cloudflare account.
